Welcome to Canada eh!! Yes, the 33rd AFRC Reunion will be in Banff, Alberta Canada! We have booked the Banff Park Lodge in the heart of Banff as party central. A block of rooms has been booked for $146.00 CANADIAN per room for double occupancy. This includes all the taxes and a buffet breakfast. If you have not already done it, book your rooms asap by calling 1-800-661-9266 or by e-mailing www.banffparklodge.com . Make sure you tell them you are with the AFRC Reunion to get the special rate. The hotel will hold the block of rooms for us until January 12, 2007. PASSPORTS ARE REQUIRED as of January 1, 2007 for air travel to Canada. Passports are not required if you drive across the border. The closest airport to Banff is the Calgary International Airport. This airport is about 1 ¼ hours from Banff. The recommended shuttle service is Banff Airporter. Their website is www.banffairporter.com . The current rate is $47.45 CANADIAN for one way service or $88.83 CANADIAN for round trip. There is shuttle service from the hotel to the all ski areas. You can buy a 3-day tri-area lift ticket $202.64 CANADIAN which includes shuttle service. This pass will allow you to ski one day at Sunshine, Lake Louise and Norquay or all three days at any one area. Shuttle service is not included with single day ski passes. From the hotel, Sunshine is 20 minutes away, Lake Louise is 45 minutes and Norquay is 15 minutes. There is a lot of skiing here, folks! The cost of the reunion will be $135.00 USD This will cover the reception party on the Thursday with wine, bier, soft drinks and hors d’oeuvres, the Bier Slalom and the banquet dinner on Saturday night. Children under the age of 16 years old will be charged $75 USD for this years reunion. Reunion T-shirts will be $25.00 and must be pre-ordered.
